Typical Curriculum – Beacon Hill

Our curriculum is flexible to provide for children with different interests and levels of ability. Children have opportunities to work together in groups and independently.

We aim to provide creative, interesting and age-appropriate learning opportunities.

We encourage our children to be active participants in their learning, through imparting ideas and making decisions.

Children’s learning is continually assessed and monitored by our staff members. Each child’s learning is documented in a variety of ways including written observation, family input forms and celebration of achievement forms, and their portfolios.

We encourage parents to share their child’s experiences at home with the centre. This can enhance the child’s learning and our curriculum.

Download an example of a curriculum sheet which is written daily and displayed in each room [PDF download].
