Meet Lavinia our Centre Director

Hello! I’m Lavinia the passionate Centre Director at Making A Difference Beacon Hill, where I’ve spent over three and a half rewarding years. Holding a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and Care, my 6 years in childcare have been dedicated to fostering connections, celebrating achievements, and guiding children as they develop into confident learners. The joy of witnessing their growth, from the first giggle to the proud stride into big school, is what I love most about this role.

My philosophy centres on the significance of emotional security and the power of play in early learning. At Beacon Hill, we create a stimulating environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and, most importantly, fun. I believe that providing a nurturing space where children feel valued and excited to learn is essential for their development and well-being.

At Making A Difference Beacon Hill, we go beyond the traditional childcare experience by offering an enriching incursion program that ignites young minds and fosters essential life skills. Our centre is a hub of creativity and learning, where children are encouraged to explore their interests in nature, science, community engagement, and the arts.

Among our diverse activities, tennis stands out as a favourite, helping children develop fine motor skills, coordination, and teamwork in an enjoyable and supportive environment.

These incursions are designed not just for skill acquisition but to instill a sense of inclusivity, connect children with their natural surroundings, and find joy in every moment—all while nourishing their bodies with fresh, local produce.
